Biography:
Amitabh Varshney is a professor of computer science with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies. He is dean of the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences and lead site PI for the Center for Medical Innovations in Extended Reality.
Amitabh Varshney's research focuses on the applications of high-performance computing and visualization in engineering, science and medicine. His work includes developing algorithms for virtual and augmented reality, as well as innovations in visual computing for big data and healthcare.
