Wu Appointed Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Signal Processing Magazine
Min Wu, a professor of electrical and computer engineering with an appointment in UMIACS, was recently appointed editor-in-chief of IEEE Signal Processing Magazine for a three-year term, beginning in 2015.
This influential technical publication, which was established 30 years ago, publishes tutorial-style articles on signal processing research and applications, as well as columns and forums on issues of interest.
IEEE has also selected Wu as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer for 2015-2016. This prestigious recognition is reserved for engineering professionals who help lead their fields in new technical developments that will shape the global community.
Wu also has a new role as an National Science Foundation-supported ADVANCE Professor for the A. James Clark School of Engineering and the College of Information Studies (iSchool). In this position, Wu will support and mentor the career development of female and underrepresented faculty.
