Srinivasan Named Editor-in-Chief of ACM Transactions on Algorithms

Aravind Srinivasan, a professor of computer science and member of UMIACS, has been named editor-in-chief of the ACM Transactions on Algorithms (TALG) publication.
Transactions on Algorithms is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research of the highest quality dealing with algorithms.
Srinivasan brings considerable experience and expertise to this new role. He is a noted expert in randomized algorithms, social networks and combinatorial optimization. Much of this work involves the confluence of algorithms, networks and randomness in society as they relate to the Web and to public health.
