Rita Colwell honored for her role in founding the University of Maryland Shady Grove Campus and the Center for Advanced Research in Biotechnology (CARB)

Rita Colwell was honored with an award for her role in founding the University of Maryland Shady Grove Campus and the Center for Advanced Research in Biotechnology (CARB). CARB is a precursor to the Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR).

Dr. Colwell received the award at a symposium celebrating 25 years of partnership between NIST and the University of Maryland.
