Plaisant, Shneiderman Recognized with Distinguished Paper Award

A team led by Catherine Plaisant (UMIACS) that included Ben Shneiderman (computer science and UMIACS) was recognized with a Distinguished Paper Award at the American Medical Informatics Association symposium recently held in Washington, D.C.

This award recognizes the researchers' efforts to refine Twinlist, which uses staged animations and spatial layouts to enable medical professionals to perform the vital task of medication reconciliation.
