Mohammad Hajiaghayi's team wins the ACM-ICPC Mid-Atlantic regional contest, advances to the World Finals to be held at Saint Petersburg, Russia

A team coached by Mohammad Hajiaghayi and consisting of Shangfu Peng, Ang Li, and Hossein Esfandiari won the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM-ICPC) Mid-Atlantic regional and thus advance to the World Finals to be held in Saint Petersburg, Russia between June 30 and July 4, 2013. ACM-ICPC 2013 is sponsored by IBM and hosted by St. Petersburg National Research University of ITMO.

The team secured a first-place finish from among 173 teams. Two other teams coached by Dr. Hajiaghayi finished 7th and 9th respectively, in the regional contest.
