HCIL Hackerspace Featured in Terp Magazine

The Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) Hackerspace, started by UMIACS member and Computer Science Assistant Professor Jon Froehlich in 2012, is featured in the Fall 2014 edition of Terp Magazine.

The article details projects that are produced in Hackerspace, including the BodyVis project, which will help elementary school students learn about their own anatomy through sensors and interactive displays that are attached to the clothing they wear. BodyVis is being developed by Froehlich and Leyla Norooz, a doctoral student in the College of Information Studies, Maryland's iSchool.

HCIL is jointly supported by the iSchool and UMIACS.
