Duraiswami Featured in Engadget Article About 3-D Audio, Virtual Reality

Ramani Duraiswami (standing in photo on left), a professor of computer science with an appointment in UMIACS, was recently featured in an Engadget online article about 3-D audio and virtual reality.

The article discusses how 3-D audio and virtual reality must go hand-in-hand to create an immersive experience and highlights Duraiswami’s startup, VisiSonics, which uses spatial data algorithms to create 3-D sound.
