Center for Women in Computing Receives Funding from AFCEA Bethesda

The Maryland Center for Women in Computing—supported in part by UMIACS—has received funding from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Bethesda Chapter in support of outreach efforts to encourage middle school students from underrepresented groups to explore computer science.
The AFCEA funding supports Computer Science Connect, a summer camp and monthly weekend school-year program designed to catalyze a love of computing for students through hands-on, experiential learning activities.
