Bhattacharyya Named FiDiPro Professor

Shuvra S. Bhattacharyya, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with an appointment in UMIACS, has been invited to work as a professor in the Finland Distinguished Professor Programme (FiDiPro) at the Tampere University of Technology in Finland.

Led and financed by the Academy of Finland and Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation, FiDiPro provides competitive grants to projects led by highly-merited scientists who are able to commit to long-term cooperation with a Finnish university or research institute.

Bhattacharyya will work on a three-year project entitled "Advanced Dynamic Stream Processing for Networking and Big Data (StreamPro)."
